Whale Call Dreaming The story about the migration of the humpback whales from their Antarctic Southern Ocean haven to their breeding grounds in Hervey Bay, Queensland, and the magical connection between them and man. The indigenous people of the Mirrning Nation whose country is at the Great Australian Bight in Western Australia have their traditional whale calling ceremony of ritual dancing and prayer to the Whale Spirits for the safe journey of the whales. On the 3rd day of the Kadaitcha Man's calling the whales, they appear and the Spirit of the Kadaitcha Man travels with the whales on their long journey and safe return back home with their newborn.

If you have ever had an email from me, you may have noticed my 'quote' or 'signature' on the correspondence -- "every drop of rain that falls ends up in the mouths of whales -it is up to humans to control what substances enter that raindrop during its journey to the ocean"

That statement sums up my commitment to life and nature, as well as my research activities.

Any land that can be saved from clear felling for development helps filter the toxins our society thinks it is their 'right' to utilize, causing the horrific thread of toxins through the environment, into the mouths, and digestive systems of Whales and other oceanic creatures.

To this ethic, I have been working on exposing faults in the 'system' and its 'employees' allowing significant vegetated land to be cleared for housing in an area that is in the throes of a severe drought, with level 3 water restrictions and level 4 expected within months [that means no outdoor hoses]

Vegetation, the best thing for Whale medicine, is a victim to political and commercial sponging.

Some of the files in the 'Improving The Earth For The Benefit Of The Oceans', especially the 'The Wadalba Files' section, are large, in pdf format, and hopeless to download if you have dialup but cover a slight portion of the research that has taken me from observing events in the ocean for some months now.
